My 14 year old daughter has been home from Haiti for 2 weeks. As I continue to study God’s Word I learn more of His great love and concern for those less fortunate. Lord Father in heaven I pray You would continue to reach out and touch those in need with Your comfort, Your peace and Your never ending grace…

“The helpless put their trust in You. You are the defender of orphans.” psalm 10:14
“Lord You know the hopes of the helpless. Surely You will listen to their cries and comfort them. You will bring justice to the orphans and the oppressed, so people can no longer terrify them!” psalm 10:17-18
07.12.2010 – “The Lord replies, ‘I have seen violence done to the helpless, and I have heard the groans of the poor. Now I will rise up to rescue them, as they have longed for me to do.’ The Lord’s promises are pure, like silver refined in a furnace purified seven times over. Therefore, Lord, we know You will protect the oppressed preserving them forever from this lying generation…” psalm 12:5-7
07.13.2010 – “…He lifts the poor from the dirt and the needy from the garbage dump.” psalm 113:7
07.22.2010 – “For He has not ignored the suffering of the needy. He has not turned and walked away. He has listened to their cries for help. The poor will eat and be satisfied. All who seek the Lord will praise Him. Their hearts will rejoice with everlasting joy. The whole earth will acknowledge the Lord and return to Him. People from every nation will bow down before Him. For the Lord is king! He rules all nations.” psalm 22:24,25-28
