AUGUST 1st

MORNING
The fruit of the Spirit is…faithfulness.

By grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.Without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believes condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!Whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.Faith working through love.Faith without works is dead.We walk by faith, not by sight.I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.Whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.

EVENING
The Lord is very compassionate and merciful.

As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him.The Lord is gracious and full of compassion. He will ever be mindful of His covenant. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. As an eagle stirs up its nest, hovers over its young, spreading out its wings, taking them up, carrying them on its wings, so the Lord alone led him, and there was no foreign god with him.His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness. When Jesus went out He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them, and healed their sick. The same yesterday, today, and forever. The every hairs of your head are all numbered. Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin? And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. Do not fear therefore.

AUGUST 2nd

MORNING
The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

Your lamb shall be without blemish…Then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it at twilight. And they shall take some of the blood and put it on the two doorposts and on the lintel of the houses where they eat it…And when i see the blood, I will pass over you.The blood of sprinkling.Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us.Being delivered by the determined purpose and foreknowledge of God.According to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began. We have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. Therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind, for he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin, that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.

EVENING
I have trodden the winepress alone.

Who is like You, O Lord, among the gods? Who is like You, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders? He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor; therefore His own arm brought salvation for Him; and His own righteousness, it sustained Him.[He] Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree.Having become a curse for us.Oh, sing to the Lord a new song! For He has done marvelous things; His right hand and His holy arm have gained Him victory.Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them it.He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many, for He shall bear their iniquities.O my soul, march on in Strength! We are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.They overcame…by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.

AUGUST 3rd

MORNING
His mercy is on those who fear Him.

Oh, how great is Your goodness, which You have laid up for those who fear You, which You have prepared for those who trust in You in the presence of the sons of men! You shall hide them in the secret place of Your presence from the plots of man; You shall keep them secretly in a pavilion from the strife of tongues. If you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear. The Lord is near to all who call upon Him…in truth. He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him; He also will hear their cry and save them.“Because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before the Lord…and you tore your clothes and wept before Me, I also have heard you,” says the Lord.On this one will I look: on him who is poor and of contrite spirit, and who trembles at My word. The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit.

Luke 1:50, Psalm 31:19-20, 1 Peter 1:17, Psalm 145:18-19, 2 Kings 22:19, Isaiah 66:2, Psalm 34:18

EVENING
Those who honor Me I will honor.

Whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it.Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. Our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.Praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.

AUGUST 4th

MORNING
“It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.I have glorified You on the earth. I have finished the work which You have given Me to do.We have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest stands ministering daily and offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.I lay down My life that I may take it again. No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

John 19:30, Hebrews 12:2, John 17:4, Hebrews 10:10-14, Colossians 2:14, John 10:17-18, John 15:13

EVENING
He sent from above, He took me; He drew me out of many waters.

He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. You He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh.Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer. From the end of the earth I will cry to You, when my heart is overwhelmed.Out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and You heard my voice. For You cast me into the deep, into the heart of the seas, and the floods surrounded me; all Your billows and Your waves passed over me.We went through fire and through water; but You brought us out to rich fulfillment. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.

AUGUST 5th

MORNING
Walk in newness of life.

As you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness.I beseech you…brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.In Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new creation. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them. This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of the Gentiles walk, in the futility of their mind. You have not so learned Christ, if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus. Put on the new man which was created according to God, in righteousness and true holiness.

Romans 6:4, Romans 6:19, Romans 12:1-2, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15-16, Ephesians 4:17,20-21,24

EVENING
Your will be done.

O Lord, I know the way of man is not in himself; it is not in man who walks to direct his own steps. Not as I will, but as You will.Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me.We do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.You do not know what you ask.He gave them their request, but sent leanness into their soul. These things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.I want you to be without care. You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.

AUGUST 6th

MORNING
Whom the Lord loves He corrects.

Now see that I, even I, am He, and there is no God besides Me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; nor is there any who can deliver from My hand.I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.“My thoughts are not your thoughts, no are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.I will allure her, will bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfort to her.As a man chastens his son, so the Lord your God chastens you.Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.Humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time.I know, O Lord, that Your judgments are right and that in faithfulness You have afflicted me.

EVENING
The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness.

She did not know that I gave her grain, new wine, and oil, and multiplied her silver and gold. Therefore I will return and take away My grain in its time and My new wine in its season, and will take back My wool and My linen. All things come from You, and of Your own we have given You. For we are aliens and pilgrims before You, as were all our fathers; our days on earth are as a shadow, and without hope. O Lord our God, all this abundance…is from Your hand, and is all Your own.Of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever. Amen. The living God…gives us richly all things to enjoy.Every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

AUGUST 7th

MORNING
The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name.

If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, “Give Me a drink,” you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water. If you…being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in My name He will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. You do not have because you do not ask. When…the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will take of what is Mine and declare it to you. They rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit; so He turned Himself against them as an enemy, and He fought against them.

John 14:26, John 4:10, Luke 11:13, John 16:23-24, James 4:2, John 16:13-14, Isaiah 63:10

EVENING
What do you think about the Christ?

Lift up your heads, O you gates! Lift up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, He is the King of glory. He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS.To you who believe, He is precious; but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone.”Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block and to the Greeks foolishness, but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ.Lord, You know all things; You know that I love You.

AUGUST 8th

MORNING
The path of the just is like the shining sun, that shines ever brighter unto the perfect day.

Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected; but I press on, that I may lay hold of that which Christ Jesus has also laid hold of me.Let us know, let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. We all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord. When that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away. For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.

Proverbs 4:18, Philippians 3:12, Hosea 6:3, Matthew 13:43, 2 Corinthians 3:18, 1 Corinthians 13:10,12, 1 John 3:2-3

EVENING
Whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

The one who comes to Me I will by no means cast out.“Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom.” And Jesus said to him, “Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise.”“What do you want Me to do for you?” They said to Him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.” So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him.If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!I will put My Spirit within you. Thus says the Lord God: “I will also let the house of Israel inquire of Me to do this.”This is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

AUGUST 9th

MORNING
You are all fair, my love, and there is no spot in you.

The whole head is sick, and the whole heart faints. From the sole of the foot even to the head, there is no soundness in it, but wounds and bruises and putrefying sores; they have not been closed or bound up, or soothed with ointment. We are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags.I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells. You were washed,…you were sanctified,…you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.The royal daughter is all glorious within.“Your beauty…was perfect through My splendor which I had bestowed on you,” says the Lord God.Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us.These are the ones who…washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.A glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but…holy and without blemish. You are complete in Him.

EVENING
Broken cisterns that can hold no water.

Eve…bore Cain, and said, “I have acquired a man from the Lord.”“Come let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens'” The Lord scattered them.Lot chose for himself all the plain of Jordan. It was well watered everywhere…like the garden of the Lord. But the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinful against the Lord.I set my heart to know wisdom and to know madness and folly. I perceived that this also is grasping for the wind. For in much wisdom is much grief, and he who increases knowledge increases sorrow.I made my works great, I built myself houses, and planted vineyards. I also gathered for myself silver and gold. Then I looked on all…and indeed all was vanity and grasping for the wind.If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He satisfies the longing soul, and fills the hungry soul with goodness.Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth.

AUGUST 10th

MORNING
I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one.

Blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world. You are the salt of the earth;…the light of the world.Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.I also withheld you from sinning against Me.The Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.I did not do so, because of the fear of God.[He] gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from this present age, according to the will of our God and Father. Now to Him who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to God our Savior, who alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and forever. Amen.

EVENING
Whoever trusts in the Lord shall be safe.

The Lord is exalted, for He dwells on high. The Lord is high above all nations, His glory above the heavens. He raises the poor out of the dust, and lifts the needy out of the ash heap, that He may seat him with princes.God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

AUGUST 11th

MORNING
That through death He might destroy him who had the power of death.

Our Savior Jesus Christ…has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. He will swallow up death forever, and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces; the rebuke of His people He will take away from all the earth; for the Lord has spoken. When this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?” The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.

Hebrews 2:14, 2 Timothy 1:10, Isaiah 25:8, 1 Corinthians 15:54-57, 2 Timothy 1:7, Psalm 23:4

EVENING
Where is the way to the dwelling of light?

God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the worldIf we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.The Father…has qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

AUGUST 12th

MORNING
The Lord will not cast off forever. Though He causes grief, yet He will show compassion.

“Do not fear…” says the Lord, “for I am with you;…I will not make a complete end of you. I will rightly correct you.”“For a mere moment I have forsaken you, but with great mercies I will gather you. With a little wrath I hid My face from you for a moment; but with everlasting kindness I will have mercy on you,” says the Lord, your Redeemer. “For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has mercy on you. “O you afflicted one, tossed with tempest, and not comforted, behold, I will lay your stones with colorful gems, and lay your foundations with sapphires.”I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against Him, until He pleads my case and executes justice for me. He will bring me forth to the light; I will see His righteousness.

Lamentations 3:31-32, Jeremiah 46:28, Isaiah 54:7-8,10-11, Micah 7:9

EVENING
God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty.

When the children of Israel cried out to the Lord, the Lord raised up a deliverer for them: Ehud …a left-handed man. After him was Shamgar…who killed six hundred men of the Philistines with an ox goad; and he also delivered Israel. The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in this might of yours…Have I not sent you?” So he said to Him, “O my Lord, how can I save Israel? Indeed my clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my father’s house.”The Lord said to Gideon, “The people who are with you are too many for Me…lest Israel claim glory for itself against Me, saying, ‘My own hand has saved me.’“Not by might nor power, but by My Spirit,” says the Lord of hosts. My brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.

AUGUST 13th

MORNING
He has prepared a city for them.

If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.An inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you. Here we have no continuing city, but we see the one to come. This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven. Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.Yet a little while, and He who is coming will come and will not tarry. We who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.

EVENING
Base things of the world…God has chosen.

Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.You He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world, among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind.According to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior.“For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.

AUGUST 14th

MORNING
The joy of the Lord is your strength.

Sing, O heavens! Be joyful, O earth! And break out in singing, O mountains! For the Lord has comforted His people, and will have mercy on His afflicted.Behold, God is my salvation, I will trust and not be afraid; for Yah, the Lord, is my strength and song; He also has become my salvation. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him.My soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels. Therefore I have reason to glory in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain to God.We…rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.I will joy in the God of my salvation.

Nehemiah 8:10, Isaiah 49:13, Isaiah 12:2, Psalm 28:7, Isaiah 61:10, Romans 15:17, Romans 5:11, Habakkuk 3:18

EVENING
He has made me an everlasting covenant, ordered in all things and secure.

I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what i have committed to Him until that Day.Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will.We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

AUGUST 15th

MORNING
The God of peace…make you complete in every good work to do His will.

Become complete. Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you.By grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.Every good and perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.Work out your salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and do for His good pleasure.Be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.[Be] filled with the fruits of righteousness which are by Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think of anything as being from ourselves, but our sufficiency is from God.

Hebrews 13:20-21, 2 Corinthians 13:11, Ephesians 2:8-9, James 1:17, Philippians 2:12-13, Romans 12:2, Philippians 1:11, 2 Corinthians 3:5

EVENING
I will allure her, will bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfort to her.

“Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you. I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters,” says the Lord Almighty. Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.Jesus…that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach.[Jesus] said,…”Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.”The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.

AUGUST 16th

MORNING
The house that is to be built for the Lord must be exceedingly magnificent.

You….as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house.Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”You…having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone, in whom the whole building, being fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord, in whom you also are being built together for a dwelling place of God in the Spirit.

1 Chronicles 22:5, 1 Peter 2:5, 1 Corinthians 3:16-17, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, 2 Corinthians 6:16, Ephesians 2:19-22

EVENING
He is before all things.

The Amen,…the Beginning of the creation of God.The beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence. The Lord possessed me at the beginning of His way, before His works of old. I have been established from everlasting, from the beginning, before there was ever an earth. When He prepared the heavens, I was there, when He drew a circle on the face of the deep,…when He assigned to the sea its limit, so that the waters would not transgress His command. I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him.Indeed before the day was, I am He.The Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. The author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

AUGUST 17th

MORNING
Pray for one another, that you may be healed.

Abraham answered and said, “Indeed now, I who am but dust and ashes have taken it upon myself to speak to the Lord: Suppose there were five less than the fifty righteous; would You destroy all of the city for lack of five?” So He said, “If I find there forty-five, I will not destroy it.”Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they do.Pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.I pray for them. I do not pray for the world but for those whom You have given Me, for they are Yours. I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word.Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months.

James 5:16, Genesis 18:27-28, Luke 23:34, Matthew 5:44, John 17:9,20, Galatians 6:2, James 5:16-17

EVENING
As for man, his days are like grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourishes. For the wind passes over it, and it is gone, and its place remembers it no more.

So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?Surely the people are grass. The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever. The world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.Use this world as not misusing it. For the form of this world is passing away.Let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

AUGUST 18th

MORNING
What god is there in heaven or on earth who can do anything like Your works and Your mighty deeds?

Who in the heavens can be compared to the Lord? Wo among the sons of the mighty can be likened to the Lord? O Lord God of hosts, who is mighty like You, O Lord? O Lord God of hosts, who is mighty like You, O Lord? Your faithfulness also surrounds You. Among the gods there is none like You, O Lord; nor are there any works like Your works. For Your word’s sake, and according to Your own heart, You have done all these great things, to make Your servant know them. Therefore You are great, O Lord God. For there is none like You, nor is there any God besides You, according to all that we have heard with our ears.Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and our children.

Deuteronomy 3:24, Psalm 89:6,8, Psalm 86:8, 2 Samuel 7:21-22, 1 Corinthians 2:9-10, Deuteronomy 29:29

EVENING
He who glories, let him glory in the Lord.

Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches; but let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord.I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ.I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes.I have reason to glory in Christ Jesus in the things which pertain to God.Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You.My heart rejoices in the Lord;…I rejoice in Your salvation. Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but to Your name give glory, because of Your mercy, because of Your truth.

AUGUST 19th

MORNING
As He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct.

You know how we exhorted…and charged every one of you,…that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory. You may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them.Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven. Therefore, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

1 Peter 1:15, 1 Thessalonians 2:11-12, 1 Peter 2:9, Ephesians 5:8-11, Philippians 1:11, Matthew 5:16, 1 Corinthians 10:31

EVENING
Ask Me of things to come concerning My sons; and concerning the work of My hands, you command Me.

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes.”Thus says the Lord God: “I will also let the house of Israel inquire of Me to do this for them.”If two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, “Be removed and be cast into the sea,” and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.

AUGUST 20th

MORNING
God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that he should repent.

The Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His truth shall be your shield and buckler.God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.The faithful God…keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments. All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth, to such as keep His covenant and His testimonies.Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God,…who keeps truth forever.

Numbers 23:19, James 1:17, Hebrews 13:8, Psalm 91:4, Hebrews 6:17-18, Deuteronomy 7:9, Psalm 25:10, Psalm 146:5-6

EVENING
If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.

He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness. He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him.The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms; He will thrust out the enemy from before you.I looked for someone to take pity, but there was none; and for comforters, but I found none. For every priest taken from among men is appointed for men in things pertaining to God. He can have compassion on those who are ignorant and going astray. So also Christ,…though He was a Son, yet He learned obedience by the things which He suffered. And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey.Surely He has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows.

AUGUST 21st

MORNING
You are my portion, O Lord.

All things are yours…And you are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.Our Savior Jesus Christ…gave Himself for us.He…gave Him to be head over all things to the church.Christ…loved the church and gave Himself for her, that He might presenter to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord.I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness.Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is none upon earth that I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart fail; but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.O my soul, you have said to the Lord, “You are my Lord.” O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; yes, I have a good inheritance.

EVENING
There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.

He who trusts in his own heart is a foolYour word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.Concerning the works of men, by the word of Your lips, I have kept away from the paths of the destroyer. If there arises among you a prophet or a dreamer of dreams, saying, “Let us go after other gods”—which you have not known—”and let us serve them,” you shall not listen to the words of that prophet, for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear Him, and keep His commandments and obey His voice; you shall serve Him and hold fast to Him.I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.

AUGUST 22nd

MORNING
None of us lives to himself, and no one dies to himself.

If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.Let no one seek his own, but each one the other’s well-being.You were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.Christ will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. But if I live on in the flesh, this will mean fruit from my labor; yet what I shall choose I cannot tell. For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is far better.I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.

Romans 14:7, Romans 14:8, 1 Corinthians 10:24, 1 Corinthians 6:20, Philippians 1:20-23, Galatians 2:19-20

EVENING
God gave Solomon…largeness of heart like the sand on the seashore.

Indeed a greater than Solomon is here. The Prince of Peace.Scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.Who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. The love of Christ…passes knowledge.Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.In whom are hidden all the measures of wisdom and knowledge. The unsearchable riches of Christ.Of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God–and righteousness and sanctification and redemption.

AUGUST 23rd

MORNING
I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you.

We are bound to give thanks to God, always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth, to which He called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.[God] has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed. And in Your book they all were written, the days fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.In this love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Jeremiah 31:3, 2 Thessalonians 2:13-14, 2 Timothy 1:9, Psalm 139:16, John 3:16, 1 John 4:10

EVENING
I have made, and I will bear.

thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob,
And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.”
Even to your old age, I am He, and even to gray hairs I will carry you!As an eagle stirs up its nest, hovers over its young, spreading out its wings, taking them up, carrying them on its wings, so the Lord alone led him.He bore them and carried them all the days of old.Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. For I am persuaded that neither…height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Can a woman forget her nursing child, and not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, yet I will not forget you.

AUGUST 24th

MORNING
I know their sorrows.

A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief.Sympathize with our weaknesses. He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.Jesus…being wearied from His journey, sat thus by the well. When Jesus saw her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled.Jesus wept. For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted. He looked down from the height of His sanctuary; from heaven the Lord viewed the earth, to hear the groaning of the prisoner, to release those appointed to death. He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I shall come forth gold. When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then You knew my path.He who touches you touches the apple of His eye.In all their affliction He was afflicted, and the Angel of His Presence saved them.

EVENING
I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day.

The soul of a lazy man desires, and has nothing; but the soul of the diligent shall be made rich.He who waters will also be watered. My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. Do you not say, “There are still four months and then comes the harvest”? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. The kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard. Now when he had agreed with the laborers for a denarius a day, he sent them into his vineyard.Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season.Do business till I come.I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

AUGUST 25th

MORNING
Look to the rock from which you were hewn, and to the hole of the pit from which you were dug.

Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity. No eye pitied you,…but you were thrown out into the open field, when you yourself were loathed on the day you were born. And when I passed by and saw you struggling in your own blood, I said to you…,”Live!”He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth–praise to our God.When we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ.

Isaiah 51:1, Psalm 51:5, Ezekiel 16:5-6, Psalm 40:2-3, Romans 5:6-8, Ephesians 2:4-5

EVENING
I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God.

I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; the humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together. The Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the man who trusts in You!Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name!Is anyone cheerful? Let him sing psalms.Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things.Singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.At midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

AUGUST 26th

MORNING
You shall also make a plate of pure gold and engrave on it, like the engraving of a signet: HOLINESS TO THE LORD.

Pursue…holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.God is Spirit, and those who worshipHim must worship in spirit and truth. But we are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags.By those who come near Me I must be regarded as holy; and before all the people I must be glorified. This is the law of the temple: The whole area surrounding the mountaintop is most holy.Holiness adorns Your house, O Lord, forever. For their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.Seeing…that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let…come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

EVENING
My cup runs over.

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger;but those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.O Lord, You are the portion of my inheritance and my cup; You maintain my lot. The lines have fallen to me in pleasant places; yes, I have a good inheritance.Whether…the word of life or death, or things present or things to come–all are yours.Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.Godliness with contentment is great gain.My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

AUGUST 27th

MORNING
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

By the word of Your lips. I have kept away from the paths of the destroyer. Uphold my steps in Your paths, that my footsteps may not slip. When you roam, they will lead you; when you sleep, they will keep you; and when you awake, they will speak to you. For the commandment is a lamp, and the law a light.Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” whenever you turn to the right hand or whenever you turn to the left.I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.We also have the prophetic word confirmed, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place. Now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known. They shall need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

EVENING
What do you mean sleeper? Arise.

This is not your rest;…it is defiled, it shall destroy you.Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. If riches increase, do not set your heart on them.Set your heart and your soul to seek the Lord your God. Therefore arise. Why do you sleep? Rise and pray, lest you enter into temptation.Take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts be weighed down with carousing, drunkenness, and the cares of this life, and that Day come on you unexpectedly. While the bridegroom was delayed, they all slumbered and slept.Yet a little while, and He who is coming will come and will not tarry. Now it is high time a awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.Watch therefore, for you do not know when the master of the house is coming—in the evening, at midnight, at the crowing of the rooster, or in the morning— lest, coming suddenly, he find you sleeping.

AUGUST 28th

MORNING
The accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down.

Thy overcame by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony.Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them. That through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. In all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.Put on the whole amor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. And take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.Thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

EVENING
The tree of life.

God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.As the Father raises the dead and gives life to them, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself. To him who overcomes I will give to eat from the tree of life, which is in the midst of the Paradise of God.In the middle of the street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.Happy is the man who finds wisdom. Length of days is in her right hand. She is a tree of life to those who take hold of her, and happy are all who retain her.Christ Jesus…became for us wisdom.

AUGUST 29th

MORNING
Whoever trusts in the Lord, happy is he.

[Abraham] did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. The children of Judah prevailed, because they relied on the Lord God of their fathers.God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, even though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; for the Lord upholds him with His hand.Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him.

Proverbs 16:20, Romans 4:20-21, 2 Chronicles 13:18, Psalm 46:1-2, Psalm 118:8-9, Psalm 37:23-24, Psalm 34:8-9

EVENING
I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night. He shall cover you with His feathers, and under His wings you shall take refuge. As a hen gathers her chicks under her wings. He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper; the Lord is your shade at your right hand.I will abide in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. The darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You.He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? You are Christ’s, and Christ is God’s.I will trust and not be afraid.

AUGUST 30th

MORNING
The king held out…the golden scepter. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the scepter.

And it will be that when he cries to Me, I will hear, for I am gracious. We have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him. Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fears involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love. We love Him because He first loved us.Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. For through Him we both have access by one Spirit to the Father. We have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.

Esther 5:2, Exodus 22:27, 1 John 4:16-19, Hebrews 10:22, Ephesians 2:18, Ephesians 3:12, Hebrews 4:16

EVENING
“What is it?”…Moses said to them, “This is the bread which the Lord has given you to eat.”

Without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh. The bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.Your fathers ate manna in the wilderness, and are dead.If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world. My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. The children of Israel…gathered, some more, some less. He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack. They gathered it every morning, every man according to his need. Therefore do not worry, saying, “What shall we eat?” or “What shall we drink?” Your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

AUGUST 31st

MORNING
The free gift which came from many offenses resulted in justification.

Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool.I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake; and I will not remember your sins. Put Me in remembrance; let us contend together; state your case, that you may be acquitted.I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, and like a cloud, your sins. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you.God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man’s offense many died, much more the grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

Romans 5:16, Isaiah 1:18, Isaiah 43:25-26, Isaiah 44:22, John 3:16, Romans 5:15, 1 Corinthians 6:11

EVENING
Do business till I come.

It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch. To one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work.Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?Leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps.Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, export, with all long-suffering and teaching. Each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it.Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
